A newsletter for applicants, potential applicants and the people who might help them secure Lottery funding. Councils for Voluntary Service and local authority Lottery officers.
This publication is an opportunity to formally recognise and celebrate the achievements of the 29 Healthy Living Centres funded by Big Lottery Fund in Wales. It highlightes the positive difference that they have made to the quality of people’s lives across all age groups in Wales and shows the contributions made towards promoting and supporting self-care through the community health development approach.

BIG and many other funders use an outcomes based approach to their funding. This means that we are more interested in the difference a project will make rather than the choice of activities undertaken.

BIG and many other funders use an outcomes based approach to their funding. This means that we are more interested in the difference a project will make rather than the choice of activities undertaken.
Like many other funders we provide grants for fixed term periods, and our priorities might change. If you are awarded funding there is no guarantee that we will be able to fund your project again. It is therefore important that you think about how you can make your project sustainable in the long term.
