People and Places will fund capital and revenue projects that encourage co-ordinated action by people who want to make their communities better places to live. We will support local and regional projects throughout Wales that focus on: revitalising communities, improving community relationships, or enhancing local environments, community services and buildings. People and Places is open for applications in 2013 until further notice. Any change to this will be posted on the website. What are we looking for? The main aim is to bring people together to create real improvements for communities and the lives of people most in need. We want your project to be community led – so helping people to develop the skills and confidence to become more involved in their community is an integral aspect of this programme. Who can apply? Under this programme we will only make grants to voluntary, community or public sector organisations either working separately or together. We’ll accept applications from organisations based anywhere in the UK. However, projects must mainly benefit people in Wales. Organisations not currently working in Wales should be able to demonstrate that they are aware of social and policy issues that are relevant to the local area and the project. What can you apply for? People and Places will fund projects that support co-ordinated action by people to make their communities better places to live. It will support local projects and projects that operate in more than one geographical area, regionally or throughout Wales.
