Big Lottery Fund has launched Stepping Stones, a programme that provides funding for people to develop the life skills that will help them to manage their lives and contribute to their communities or to re-engage in learning, volunteering or employment.
Stepping Stones will support local and regional projects or ones that work throughout Wales. We will fund projects that take a strategic and innovative approach to achieve three or more of the following changes:
- People with improved self-confidence and life skills.
- People taking up further learning or employment opportunities
- People equipped to better manage life challenges and transitions.
- People volunteering and contributing to their communities.
Stepping Stones will give grants of between £250,000 and £1 million, up to 5% of which can be for capital costs. Projects can be funded for between three and five years.
