Since 2006 we have invested £2.4 billion in over 56,000 projects: from play areas and parks to community centres and projects that have enhanced people’s skills. These projects have improved lives, transformed communities and created thousands of jobs and volunteering opportunities.
We have refreshed our strategy to respond to changes in the economy, government and society. Our fundamental mission remains the same: to make real improvements to communities and the lives of people in need.
If Lottery tickets sales hold up we will have £500-600 million to commit across England each year. We want to do great things with this money: things that address the most acute needs and make a long-term difference; things that we can learn from, share and replicate. Most of all, we want you to help us!
At the event we informed delegates with our plans for the next five years, current funded groups inspired with their stories of People Powered Change and we then celebrated the 18th Birthday of the National Lottery.
Delegates told us: ‘Great opportunity to meet face to face with funders and community organisations. Felt inspired by the work of other community groups!’
