To meet the challenge of sustainable development we have to enhance the quality of life for all by designing healthy buildings and environments fit for individuals and communities both now and in the future.
During the past 12 months, we have seen the impact the economic downturn has had on communities in Wales. To help address this, we have set aside an extra £2 million to be allocated in two rounds during the financial years ending 31 March 2010 and 31 March 2011.

The Better Off programme awarded £10 million to 58 projects across Scotland. Projects aimed to integrate services or provide holistic support through activities. Grants ranged in size from £10,000 to £507,000.
